I love my Taurus 692 Revolver. It is heavy built. I mainly shoot 9 mm ammo. But is great having the inner changeable cylinders. Also for the 357 mag. It is my main carry pistol. Daryl.

The revolver is as advertised. Good workmanship and is a good looking piece. Comments about the moon clips is accuract,as 2 broke on first loading, but I had already ordered after market clips that are great.

I just received the 692 and have not had time to shoot it. Based merely on the appearance and handling, it seems to be solidly built and is a nice size for my intended purpose, which is as a woods gun. I look forward to seeing how it handles full-power 357 and 9mm with moon clips. Since I haven’t shot the pistol, I don’t feel that I should give it five stars based on its assumed performance, so four stars it is.

Nicely made firearms with workable 3 inch barrel that is ported. The porting really works but full-house 357 magnum rounds are still very stiff for any revolver. Single action trigger pull is heavy but has extra clean break and is fine. Double action is butter smooth but also heavy. Gun works as it should. Best of all the point of impact for both the 9MM rounds and 38/357 is the same! Not confirmed in ranges over 15 yards however. Switching from one cylinder to another is quick and painless. One button push and they swap out. Excellent! Now, the bad news: the included moon clips are junk. First time out 3 out of the five included broke! Don’t bother. Buy some replacements on-line (think mine came from CK Products in stainless steel). Taurus is supposed to warranty the accessories for one year after purchase but it has been more than a month and still no replacement moon clips from Taurus…. Again, don’t bother. Get some well-made stainless steel moon clips and enjoy the pistol! Overall, recommended!

The 9mm cylinders do not like still cases I think the case is swell make it a little harder to get out haven’t found a 357 around it will not take

The item took over a week just to ship. Once the product was recieved, the item was in terrible condition. Carbon build up in Muzzle. Scratches on frame. The extractor star was very in very bad condition, looks as if it were hand filed down with a saw. The item also had the wrong grips on it.

The firearm fits perfectly in my hand and fires smoothly in both .357 Mag and 9mm Luger. The cylinder changes out a lot easier than I expected. Press button remove and put new one in place. took all of twenty seconds. The supplied stellar clips left a lot to be desired, as the broke when I was attempting to place ammo in them, but one phone call to Taurus and they were happy to send me new ones to replace the ones that broke. The moon clips are not necessarily needed to load, and fire the gun, but they do help. the seven shot capacity of this revolver is also a definite plus, as most revolvers this size only hold six. Overall I am VERY satisfied with this purchase.

I love this revolver, yea Taurus nailed it with the interchangeable cylinder’s. Primarily used with the 9mm for target shooting, practice and even edc. In the fall when bow season opens up I switch to the 357/38 cylinder and it goes to the woods with me; not to hunt with but for personal protection from ANY type of predator. I love this revolver! Being able to shot 9mm makes shooting it more affordable. The 357 shots nice as well, the recoil is not to bad for me.
