After 30 years of wish-listing I finally have the gun to intimidate all “Punks”! The model 29 was worth the wait. It looks, feels and shoots like a machine that had every part scrutinized and engineered for optimum performance. The blue finish reminds me of the old colt python finish. Very lustrous and deep. The new walnut grips are perfect for medium size hands. The checkering is aggressive enough without being obnoxious. Little things like serrations on the trigger and in front and back of the front and rear sights make a big difference. The single action trigger is light and surprising making for accurate groups smaller than a silver dollar. Double action pulls are not bad with a light stacking before the break. Adjustable target sights were easy to sight in. The wood presentation case is a nice addition. Thanks Buds! without the layaway plan it may have taken more years to add to the collection. If you want one, get it before you no longer have the opportunity. You will not be disappointed. This gun is a smile factory in your hand.

I have always wanted a Model 29 and this gun doesn’t disappoint. Gun also came with a wood velvet lined display case.

I always wanted a S&W model 29 in 44 magnum. Shopping at Buds Gun Shop was very easy. I shopped the internet and found that Buds had the best price. Bud made the hole process very easy from start to finish, plus shipping was fast and free. I highly recommend Buds Gun Shop.

Received my S&W Model 19 today. Buds Service was exceptional as always. I literally walked away from doing the paperwork at my FFL and walked into a range. Put 12 through this bucket list firearm. I don’t think I could have made a better decision, than to buy this weapon from Buds!

This is a really nice revolver, I been wanting this one for a while and decided to purchase it through buds. This is my 20th handgun purchase I have made through buds since 4/22. Overall I have been satisfied with buds, I have had a couple issues but with buying 20 firearms some issues are expected. Recommend this revolver to anybody that is considering purchasing one..

My first purchase from Buds, couldn’t be better, beautiful and with the Presentation Case, outstanding, something on my list for probably 30 years or more, now in my safe!!!! Happy camper!

I bought my first Model 29 in the early ’80’s. Have owned more than 1 over the years. Used to really respect the beautiful blue finish and the Goncalo Alves wood grips (spelling?). This one is a fine handgun, but I have a few personal issues/preferences about it. The blue finish is nice, but it’s different somehow. Not as deep blue or something. It just, to me, doesn’t match the quality of the originals. The walnut grips? I can only say they are “ok”. Again, not as nice as the old ones were. The finish seems like an oil stain instead of a varnish or polyurethane type of coating. My biggest complaint is the stupid internal safety lock. I DO NOT like safeties on revolvers. Period. When I took it out of the box the action was locked, even though the little flag was not exposed (to show safety was on). I almost didn’t accept the revolver just based on that one fact. It did easily reset with the included key, but…. Overall, it’s ok. Best I can say about it. Ok. Action was ok, timing ok, trigger ok, finish basically ok, grips…. basically ok too.. However,.for a pistol from a very well known manufacturer that has been in business a long time, I expected more from a pistol costing somewhere north of the $1,000 figure. To be fair, I am considering getting another one in 4″ to replace one I sold long ago. If it wasn’t any good, I wouldn’t consider another. This/these are not being used for show guns, so the beauty isn’t as important as the functionality. That being said, I still don’t like that #@$Â¥# safety. I’ll give it a slightly generous 4 stars, only because I can’t give 3 1/2, due to grips, finish, and that safety……

Very nice looking gun that I’ve wanted for many years! One problem was it was very dirty, several sand grains in the barrel, but cleaned up. Secondly, it had a small scratch on the cylinder. For the money, you’d think it would be a shipped a bit better.

Fast shipping and arrived as described. Wood display box was perfect with no flaws.

Much like previous purchases, Buds did and excellent job of answering my questions before the purchase. During the purchasing cycle, they were again so very helpful and kept me advised of order status. Got my S&W model 29 promptly- I drooled when I opened the box. Thank you Bud’s Foster K.- Houston
