Garrison 9mm stainless serial 81XXXX. Im extremely happy with this gun, very minimal play from frame to slide and good accuracy. Magazine seems kind of cheap but i shot 100 rounds and no malfunctions, after that i got wilson combat magazines and went through 100 more rounds with no issues. Trigger is on the lighter side, very nice gun.

Back in the early to mid 90’s I had lived in NH and a good friend of mine had Springfield Armory 1911 that was chambered in 9mm, which was even more unheard of back then. I don’t remember if it was a Mil-spec model, or what models Springfield was even making back then, or any other details about it, accept that it was a smooth shooter, very accurate and I have wanted one ever since. In 1996 I started a new career in a very un-gun friendly city/state, I put my guns into storage and went to work. I recently retired and move to a gun friendly state, free at last! The first pistol I bought was this stainless Springfield Garrison and I love it! This is an amazing Pistol. The first four, nine shot magazines I fired out of it at 30 feet went down consecutively from a 4″ group, 1st mag, to a 3″ group, 2nd mag, then a 2 1/4″ group out of the 3rd mag and then a 1 1/4″ group from the 4th mag ever fired of it. I took a picture and wish I was able to post if here to show you. I could shoot 9mm’s out of this big, beautiful, narrow slab of shiny steel all day long! This pistol will be with me and in my family for a long, long time. I say it again, I love this gun! Bud’s was great and they have a great price on these guns. This is one of the best 1911 you will find anywhere for under $1000.00 imho…

Recently purchased this gun from Bud’s. Great service from Bud’s. Gun shipped in a very timely manner. The product however, did not live up to Springfield Armory’s normal quality. This was a disappointment. The gun would not cycle correctly. It would only shoot the first bullet and then would not cycle for the next one, although it would eject the fired cartridge, but not complete the cycle to put the the next bullet in the chamber. So I contacted Springfield Armory and it is now on its way to the factory for assessment and correction. They did pay for shipping and insurance to the factory. I will do an updated review once I receive the product back from the factory.
